The Governance Lab (The GovLab) is an action research center based at New York University Tandon School of Engineering. The GovLab’s mission is to improve people’s lives by changing the way we govern by strengthening the ability of institutions – including but not limited to governments – and people to work more openly, collaboratively, effectively, and legitimately to make better decisions and solve public problems.

The Thematic Research Network on Data and Statistics (TReNDS) is a thematic network of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN). TReNDS convenes experts to catalyze learning and investment in the data revolution for development and supports efforts to improve monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals worldwide.

The University of Washington is a public research university in Seattle, Washington. The Information Risk Research Initiative (IRRI) is housed at the UW Applied Physics Laboratory. IRRI’s R&D efforts develop new frameworks and metrics for causes of, and solutions to, risk in socio-technical systems.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industry agendas.
